Horse Riding Lessons Overview Since we have the luxury of being located at such a gorgeous facility, we have access to areas for riding both indoors and outdoors, making it so we can be open year round! We have an indoor riding arena for the colder winter months, and have an Olympic oversized outdoor riding arena so you and your equine companion can enjoy the fresh air in the warmer months. Lessons are typically taught Monday through Saturday, allowing us a wide range of ability to work with your schedule to find a lesson time that works best for you! Please note: we need at least a 24 hour notice if you are unable to make your lesson. If you do not give your trainer at least a 24 hour notice, you will still be charged for your lesson. Thank you! For riders who are new to the sport or just want to give it a try, HighPointe Farm makes it possible for you to buy the least amount of stuff possible so there is the least monetary investment until you are confident that you like it. We proudly offer tack, grooming equipment, and even helmets for our new students to use! The only thing you have to supply would be long pants and closed-toed shoes! Preferably boots with approximately a 1-1 ½ inch heel if possible. We also are proud that our lesson program is able to start a lot younger than some barns in the area, as we start lessons as young as 18 months old! We have invested in two high quality European saddles called the “inky dinky saddle” that is the BEST way for kids to learn to ride. Our Instructors Great horse riding lessons start with great instructors! The HighPointe Farm team of horse riding instructors is led by Jill Herweyer who has a master degree in education and has been teaching riding lessons since she was 12 years old. We have both English and western beginner lessons! learn more about beginner horse riding lessons Advanced Horse Riding Lessons Once a child is riding independently we take their knowledge and love to give them the skills they need to take it to the next level! We work with each student and see what their individual goals are. Some goals may be to horse show or to jump large fences; however, other goals may include trail riding or cantering bareback… we believe in creating well rounded horse-lovers that can do more than just ride around the arena in circles! learn more about advanced horse riding lessons Hunter Over Fences Riding Lessons We love to help our students go from confident flatwork to learning how to take their skills and apply them to learning to jump! We have a variety of fantastic lesson horses who love to teach our students how to jump.
